Flash Back Fridays: Movies

Friday, April 23, 2010

The GotYA crew dedicated this weeks Flashback Friday to movies that inspire the writer you are today. I am soooooo guilty of being a movies fanatic, and 80's movies are my guilty little pleasure. There are so many movies from the totally awesome era that still inspire me today. Even as a little kid I enjoyed some movies geared toward adult, like these:

Where a woman, Shelly Long, is raised from the dead several years after her death to find her family has completely changed in her absence. Great fun, and even as a seven year old, I got the general concept of the story. I haven't seen this one for several years, but it's still fresh in my memory.

Okay, so who hasn't dreamed about getting back at a mean boss or some other meanie? Not me...*whistles innocently* This movie is great for so many reasons, besides being funny, there are a few scenes where the girls from the office totally let this imaginations go crazy of how they'd like to get even with their boss, and it's still great inspiration for a revenge story.

Big Business is the ultimate movie about twins switched at birth, and how they are later mistaken for each other. I must've seen this one like 50 gazillion times!

Now, let's not forget the teen movies I was obsessed with when I was young, practically wearing out the VHS tapes watching them so many times.

*Sigh* I could seriously post awesome movies all day long!

What movies inspire you??????? I'm always up for suggesties of ones to watch.

9 to 5! I think that was slightly before my time (maybe?) but I definitely saw it when I was pretty young. And LOVED the song haha.

LOL Maybe Kaitlin! I'm 29, and was just a little shot through the 80's, but I had a housefull of older brothers and sisters that kept me exposed the hipness of the era. No cartoons for me. LOL

I love, love, love the movie 9 to 5, and I'm totally going to see the musical when it comes to Atlanta in September. And I can't believe you like Hello Again! I love it too, and I recently got it on DVD. It totally inspired my latest WIP, Hello Again Gaby Briggs! AWESOME!
