Like you, I liked his bad boy, not sure if he's really good type of thing going on. He's an anti-hero which always hooks me too.

I wasn't crazy about Nora. I didn't think she had much of a personality and would like to see her more developed in this next book.

Thanks for the review, and like you, I'm waiting impatiently for the next installment!Amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04803751424984029342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5655368363508700525.post-77358972574835177802010-09-21T17:00:36.712-04:002010-09-21T17:00:36.712-04:00I enjoyed this book a lot and I am looking forward...I enjoyed this book a lot and I am looking forward to Crescendo! :) Glad you liked it too.Scoothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07312166939537978521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5655368363508700525.post-48089701670680036472010-09-21T16:47:59.430-04:002010-09-21T16:47:59.430-04:00--I guess I like the end of the book Patch as far ...--I guess I like the end of the book Patch as far as romance goes. I'm hoping we'll see more of his good guy side in book two.

Nora's attraction to Patch was there throughout, and I think readers would have been more for a romance between the two of them if Patch wasn't so intense and aggressive. I do want to see more of a genuine romance blossom between the two in the next novel. There was so much sexual tension between them, but it wasn't explained in the novel too well why Nora would let a creep like Patch hoist her up on a counter and almost kiss her if she was so afraid of him.

Love intrests that are cocky and kind of jerky always hook me for some reason. Eric from Sookie Stackhouse novels is a prime example. He was my favorite from book one, and it was awesome to see him show his softer side to Sookie throughout the series. That's what I'm hoping Patch does, too, so we can see why Nora was so into him at the end of the first novel.Annie McElfreshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14312634754232333138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5655368363508700525.post-31771634984325629462010-09-21T12:10:12.638-04:002010-09-21T12:10:12.638-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Basthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12561466241112288690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5655368363508700525.post-7201522919997622332010-09-21T11:33:32.562-04:002010-09-21T11:33:32.562-04:00I know this book has a lot of fans, but parts of i...I know this book has a lot of fans, but parts of it bothered me.

I thought Patch kind of treated Nora like crap, myself. I guess that kept me from liking him in the long run. I also thought Nora and Vee bordered on too stupid to live sometimes. I really wanted to like this book, because the pacing and writing is good, and kept me reading.

I don't think I'll be reading the sequel.Tere Kirklandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13562750950130316280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5655368363508700525.post-82469738139040600282010-09-21T09:59:41.197-04:002010-09-21T09:59:41.197-04:00It's really interesting to see your take on th...It's really interesting to see your take on this book, but I'm a little confused by it.

I read HUSH, HUSH a while ago because I had been reading so many blog posts slamming the book because of the romance. I just had to read it and see for myself what everyone was talking about.

In my opinion, there wasn't any romance in this book. I don't want to spoil anything since you didn't include spoilers in your review, but Patch didn't come off as a hot love interest and he wasn't just a little creepy ... he was a full out creep. Several times throughout the novel, Nora says that Patch makes her uncomfortable -- not in a sexual tension type way, but in a "he's harassing me" type way.

I'd love to hear more on what you thought of some of the events in the novel.

I'm going to be reading the second book because the premise is interesting, but not particularly for the "romance."Basthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12561466241112288690noreply@blogger.com
